Intel Wireless Driver AX201 and Wifi-Direct

Hello, we have noticed some unusual behavior with the driver in question. Once installed, it writes a key here HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WlanSvc\, a dword called AllowWDF, and sets it to 0. This inhibits the use of Wi-Fi Direct and, consequently, Miracast. Is this a known issue with this driver? We have seen this behavior on different hardware but with the same driver. If the key is then set to 1, Miracast starts working again.

For me to better understand and diagnose the issue further, let me ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help me isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward.

1. Before we proceed, let me check, did you manually install this AX201 in the system as an upgrade or this is embedded in the system?
2. What is the brand and model of the system?
3. Can you tell me the driver version that you are having issues?
4. And also, can you provide the driver version that has no issue?
5. Please help generate the SSU logs of your system for me to review the hardware and the installed drivers. Kindly refer to the link below on how to generate the logs:

Hello Mike, thanks for reply.

So, in order:

1.Its embedded in the system

2. Hp 840 G7

3.Driver is 22.200.0.6 this is the version where i found the problem, we also update it to the last version but the key still here in the regedit 

4.We dont have a driver without issue, we remove the key from the regedit and works (or change to 1 value instead of 0)

Based on SSU, you are already using the latest driver for the wireless controller which is 23.150.0

Let me clarify, may I know where did you get the driver 22.200.0.6 and this is for which device?

Lastly, let me also ask. Are you having issues with driver 23.150.0 for your wireless controller AX201?
