Intel Woreless AC 9560 upgrade to AX 201

Good afternoon all!  I was trying to figure out the major differences in the M.2: CNVio2 and M.2: CNVio interface type as I'm considering upgrading my current AC 9560 to the AX 201 wireless card.  Are these 2 interface types compatible and other than the comparison, will all of the functionality work correctly, i.e. bluetooth, enjoyment of ax speeds, etc.

I currently am awaiting a WiFi 6 enabled Asus Router.  Thanks.

No, CNVio and CNVio2 are not compatible. You cannot use the AX201 in a CNVio-enabled M.2 connector.

Alternative is to use AX200 module, which doesn't use CNVio at all. I must warn you, though, there was some discussion here previously regarding certain laptop(s)/motherboard(s) NOT supporting AX200 module in their CNVio-enabled M.2 connector. Peruse this conversation: https://community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/CNVio-VS-CNVio2-documentation/m-p/731493#M29359.

Hope this helps,
