Intel centrino wifi 2230 and bluetooth doesn't work simultaneously

Hello,

I have DELL 5521 (Service Tag: 50W44Y1) with Windows 10 installed. Recently i have purchased Amazon Alexa (2nd Generation) and connected to laptop by Bluetooth.

Here problem starts, When i try to watch videos from youtube or any other website and listen on bluetooth speaker or on Alexa, wifi stops working. Sometimes it shows

connected or sometime it shows no network. Even wifi on/off button also doesn't work. Same thing i tested on other brand's laptop, on same Wifi network and with same bluetooth

speaker and Alexa, it works. I have updated Windows/Wifi drivers from below links using auto detect tools and it shows your device is already updated with latest drivers.

Thanks

Hello sachinngp,

We understand you're having issues using Bluetooth® and Wireless networking at the same time using your Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230.

In order to better assist you, we would like the following:

- Please download and run the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility Intel® System Support Utility, then run the scan while connected to your wireless network. This will allow you to save your system configuration into a report, which you may then manually upload as an attachment.

- What is the brand and model of your wireless router/access point?

To enable attachments, select the option to "use advanced editor" while replying.

Best regards,

Hello sachinngp,

Thank you for this report.

Since Bluetooth and your wireless adapter both communicate in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, some interference issues are expected. To counter, it's important to make sure that you're using the latest Bluetooth® drivers as well:

- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27228 Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® for Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230.

Another thing we noticed is that although both your router and adapter are 802.11n capable, and your adapter settings look good, you're currently connecting using the much older 802.11g standard. This limits your maximum connection rate (speed at which your adapter and router communicate between each other, related but not the same as download speed) to only 54 Mbps. Using 802.11n you should get closer to 300 Mbps, regardless of your ISP download speed.

This lower connection rate will further aggrevate any interference caused by your Bluetooth® connection.

You may need to check your wireless router to make sure that you're using the latest firmware and there aren't any configuration issues on that end.

Best regards,

Carlos A.
