Hello fellow intel friends. Im just wondering, is it possible for your internet to be laggy after installing a driver? Lets say I installed an Intel driver from ACERS website and replacing the driver that Windows installed during windows 8.1 update. Then the next day it was so laggy so I did a ping to my internet and got like 200ms-500ms high and thats pretty lag. Heres a picture below.
I get like 56ms everytime since im alone in my HOUSE. Please help. I'm really scared of issues like this cause im tired of finding a fix and going to the computer shop. thanks so much ! ! !

Hello,
The lag increase you mention may be possible, depending on the driver version you installed and the settings used in the router and the adapter. This may also be caused by external factors (interference, hardware issues, etc).
Please review and apply the following advisories as these actions may solve connectivity issues for Intel Wireless Adapters:
http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/sb/CS-030709.htm?wapkw=wifi+recommended+settings What are the Recommended Settings for 802.11n Connectivity?
http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-034658.htm Quick Checks That Might Improve or Fix Connection Issues
If you require further assistance, please provide the details of your system, such as PC model, Operating System version (including 32 or 64 bit), Wireless Adapter model and driver version shown in device manager, Intel® PROSet/wireless software version, router model and firmware version, distance to the router, etc.
Did you test the connection when you were using the MS Windows* drivers? if you did, what were the results?
