N-6235 vs N-6230

I was going to replace my n-1030 with N-6235. Amazon/Newegg only have the N-6230. I assume that 6235 is the newer model. Is there any major improvement worth paying extra for the 6235. 6235 is available on some unknown retailers. I don't want to register and get more junk mail, if I can avoid it.

Hello raviss

Actually there main difference between these adapters as far as the hardware characteristics, the Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6235 supports supports Bluetooth 4.0* (Low Energy) Dual mode Bluetooth, as well as * Wi-Fi Direct. If you want to learn about the features that Wi-Fi Direct offers, please see this URL:http://www.wi-fi.org/discover-and-learn/wi-fi-direct%E2%84%A2 http://www.wi-fi.org/discover-and-learn/wi-fi-direct%E2%84%A2 You can find the "Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 6235: Product Brief" from this URL:http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/centrino/centrino-advanced-n-wimax-6235-brief.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/centrino/centrino-advanced-n-wimax-6235-brief.html You can also find the Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6230: Product Brief from the URL below: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/centrino/centrino-advanced-n-6230-brief.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/centrino/centrino-advanced-n-6230-brief.html You should check with your OEM to ensure that the laptop will accept the adapter you are planning to install. Also, there could be regulatory requirements that you need to meet for your country, since the end user is not authorized to install these wireless adapters. They can only be installed by the manufacturer or its authorized representative. Installing an aftermarket wireless adapter in your laptop can cause several issues which may affect usage of the wireless adapter or laptop. Some of these issues may include the following: - The OEM may have installed the wireless adapter with a lock to prevent installation of another adapter.- Your adapter may not be electrically compatible with your laptop that may cause the adapter and/or your laptop to no longer function.- Wireless hardware installation and use is subject to regulatory approval, and the adapter purchased may not support your local regulations.
