Simultaneous hotspot and network scan on a Intel 7260HMW?

Hello, I use an Intel 7260HMW adapter. The OS is linux debian 8. The problem is that it's not possible to perform a wi-fi scan, while being connected to the adapter's hotspot. I should disable the hotspot for make it work.

Does somebody know where is the problem? Hardware limitation or linux drivers not using the adapter's functionality by 100%?

Maybe, there is another Intel adapter fitting to our needs?

Yes. So if my device is not connected to a LAN via Ethernet, it's not possible to set up the wi-fi via hotspot.

Have you reported this behavior on the Linux Distro community (https://www.linux.org/). 

No for the moment. I had a hope that somebody on this forum has already experienced the same problem like mine!

Some more information about my setup:

I am using a Debian 8 Jessie with the kernel 3.18.25. The Intel wi-fi drivers come from the official Jessie package and the adapter's firmware I am using is iwlwifi-7260-9.ucode. So it's not the latest version. On the web page given by Leonardo.C, the file is iwlwifi-7260-14.ucode, but it shouldn't be compatible with my kernel version, If I understand correctly.

So the problem remains. I have always to figure out if this is hardware limitation or just driver issue. It's for sure i don't have the last one.
