UX32VD - Intel Update Driver doesn't upgrade Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235

Hello,

I have serious issues with Wifi on my Asus UX32VD laptop running Windows 10 pro (64bits).

Ma Wifi connexion isn't stable, which increase loading pages time and download files time. The Intel update utility confirms to me that an update is available but it consistently fails. The installation process starts, but the utility tells me that the installation failed without Windows displaying any error message ...

I first tried to delete the driver but doesn't seem to help... I tried a manual driver installation by downloading the .exe file but the result is the same, the old driver is still being used ... Any idea?

Hello DVAS,

The drivers for the Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6235 are supported by Windows*10 own inbox drivers. The drivers found in our Download Center are Windows 8.1* compliant and its version is the 18.20.0 as you can confirm here https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25276/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-Software-for-Windows-8-1- Download Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software for Windows 8.1*. and the file name is: Wireless_18.20.0_e164.exe

4 - Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features and Uninstall "Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software", if it is installed. When prompted, choose the option to "Discard settings"

5 - In Control Panel, Device Manager, Network Adapters, right click on the Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6235 and uninstall it. Make sure you mark the option to "Delete the driver software for this device".

6 - Reboot the PC or scan for hardware changes, check device manager and if an older driver is detected and installed, repeat the actions to uninstall and delete it as well. Repeat this process until the OS does not allow deleting the driver, or until the controller shows as Unknown Device.

7 - Then, proceed with the installation.

Bluetooth Drivers were uninstalled, I had to reinstall it to get my bluetooth work.

Even after installing https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25276/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-Software-for-Windows-8-1- Download Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software for Windows 8.1*. File name: Wireless_18.20.0_e164.exe (took me 2 hours) the 15.18.0.1 driver is still used...

Any way to force install for the newest driver ?
