I am experiencing an issue with my Intel Wi-Fi adapter on Windows 11. Despite multiple troubleshooting attempts, I cannot connect to my 5GHz Wi-Fi network. Here's a summary of the problem:
- On Windows 11, the 5GHz Wi-Fi network is detected during scans but appears with a cross, and I am unable to connect.
- The 2.4GHz works but not exceed 144/144mbps.
- I have reinstalled Windows several times and installed the latest driver for my Intel Wi-Fi adapter directly from the official Intel website.
- To confirm that this is not a hardware issue, I tested the same setup using Ubuntu on the same device, and the 5GHz Wi-Fi works perfectly without any changes to the hardware or router.
Steps I've already tried on Windows:
- Ensured the 5GHz band is enabled in the adapter's advanced settings in Device Manager.
- Used the Intel Driver & Support Assistant to check for and install the latest drivers.
- Verified that the 5GHz network is properly configured on my router.
- Tested with different router channels (below 48) to ensure compatibility.
- Checked power-saving settings and set the wireless adapter to "Maximum Performance" in the Windows power options.
Despite these efforts, I am still unable to connect to 5GHz Wi-Fi on Windows 11.
Additional Information:
- My router is a Sagemcom Livebox 6 with dual-band Wi-Fi where too many device are connected via 5Ghz.
- The issue seems software-related since Ubuntu connects without any issues.
