Unplugging my external wifi antenna caps the ethernet speed to 10mbps

I have a ASUS TUF B460-Plus (Wifi) Motherboard and a Wifi antenna to connect to. I use ethernet and don't use wifi but for some reason I have to have the wifi antenna plugged in to receive the full speed or it will be capped at 10mbps. Everytime I leave the wifi antenna unplugged, it caps the ethernet connection speed to 10mbps. Is this normal? If not, how do I fix it?

I have my Intel Ethernet Connection up-to-date and have tried restarting it but nothing works.

If you do have a solution, let me know!

Thanks!

Plugging or unplugging the antenna should not affect the Ethernet port at all. I windoer if what it happening is you have a bad Ethernet cable with an intermittently connecting line and it is getting jossled during the process. Try replacing this Ethernet cable and see if this makes a difference.

Hope this helps,
