Upgraded but lost taskbar icon??

Hello, i've just upgraded my Dell Vostro 1510 Laptop's Intel ProSetWireless software to version 14.3.1.0. Running Windows XP Home Edition 2002 SP3. The little brodcast icon that is always in my Taskbar has vanished. The box is selected in the settings area to show this icon. Anyone know how I can get it back. At this point I can't see at a glance if my WiFi is connected or not. Thanks in advance. Jim
