Hello Intel Community,
(Don't have a lot of information sorry)
Helping a user who's re-installed Windows 11, computer uses AC7260 - he says AV is blocking his bluetooth from installing/working. We think he may be trying to install the wrong driver(s)...
*Looking at the Intel support pages we've found Intel® Wireless 7260 Family and Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 Discontinuation Notice & the driver(s) Wi-Fi 21.10.1 May 21st 2019
Bluetooth 21.10.1 May 21st 2019.
---------------
He's trying with BT-22.160.0-32-64UWD-Win10-Win11.exe
The image shows the error he's given us: it translates to:
Unable to save value
C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Bluetooth on key
Software\Microsoft\Windows\Defender\Exclusion\Paths.
Make sure you have sufficient access to this key or contact the support team
Can anyone help please?
Many thanks in advance!
Cheers,
KCF

You are correct. The user should be installing the older installation packages, not the most recent (which do not have driver files for these legacy adapters).
