Hello, We have an application which requires BLE 5.0. We would also like to use external antennas for Bluetooth.
Unfortunately the PC which handles the communication has no available slots (either PCIe or M.2).
As stated in the technical brief, the adapter exposes through its M.2 interface PCIe and USB.
Is the Bluetooth section of the adapter exposed through the USB interface of the M.2 connector?
Could this be connected to an USB port on the PC through a custom interface?
Thank you.

Hello Radu.l,
Thanks for posting in our community. We understand that you would like to use the Bluetooth* features of Intel® Wireless-AC 9260.
Please notice that this forums are focused on end-user level support. As you mentioned, this device Bluetooth* portion works through the USB interface on the M.2 connector, but we can't confirm if it would be possible to use a custom interface to connect the adapter to the motherboard USB interface directly.
If you require Bluetooth* 5.0 capability on a branded PC/laptop, please contact the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for options. If this is for a new system you're designing, please refer to your distributor or our Resource and Design Center:
