Using a AC 7260 I get an Invalid BT address string - and I don't find any bluetooth devices

Using "btmsrvview" I get this:

You can probably guess what it say, but a quick translation from danish: "Ikke tilsluttet" means "Not connected". And "Ugyldig BT-adressestreng" means something like "Invalid BT address string"

The system is a Intel NUC D54250WYKH with a "Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Plus Bluetooth" running Windows 8.1 (x64), and I have installed the latest drivers (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24681 WP-BT_17.1.1411.01_e164).

I have tried an other Bluetooth adapter (Level One MDU-0005USB) that works fine (using the generic bluetooth driver).

When I try to find bluetooth devices, it just searching "forever" but never finding anything.

All other drivers are up-to-date and I have flashed the latest firmware for the NUC.

Hello Juel,

Please clean uninstall from device manager all drivers related to the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260, make sure all files are removed completely, then restart the process again beginning the installation by the Bluetooth drivers. Access this link for installation: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&FamilyId=1783&ProductID=3714&ProdId=3714 Intel® Download Center - Let us know if this helped you.

Hi Aleki.

The above picture is not related to any error!

I'm afraid to say that I forgot to "RTFM" even tough it's only a large sheet of paper. After connecting the antenna everything works just fine...

In my embarrassment I'm prepared to take a public lashing (hope it's only going to be by tongue) at anytime. I'm sorry for any inconvenience I might have caused.

Best regards

Jacob
