WIFI 6 (centrino advanced-n 6235)

I have a Samsung laptop 900x with intel centrino advanced-n 6235.

I want to replace this card with a newer one that can handle WIFI 6 (802.11ax).
Can anyone tell me which card it is?

Intel® offers Wi-Fi 6 adapters as you can check here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/wireless/wi-fi-6-series.html 

However, I would like clarify that the installation or use of Intel® Wireless Adapters is subject to country-specific legal regulations. A wireless adapter installed in a system that is being sold on the market doesn't necessarily mean that same wireless adapter can be used or installed in any other systems for the above mentioned reason. As each country may have different regulatory requirements, before you install/change the wireless adapter in a system, you must contact the system manufacturer (OEM) to determine if the wireless adapter you plan to install is approved for use in your system and country. You are required to follow the OEM's post-approval requirements: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005687/network-and-i-o/wireless.html 

Based on the above, you will need to check with Samsung* if any of the Wi-Fi 6 adapters is compatible with your system. Additionally, the OEM can help you with the steps to integrate the wireless card, they may also have the correct part number and even provide you warranty for it.

If your wireless adapter is attached (soldered) to the laptop's motherboard, you will not be able to replace it without a lot of difficulty. I would suggest looking into a good USB-based replacement in this case.

If your wireless adapter is a card that plugs into a mini-PCIe (a.k.a. M.1) connector, then there is the possibility of replacing it. I caution that you should still check with your manufacturer to ensure that replacing it will work. The problem is going to be that the Wi-Fi 6/Wireless-AX cards are all designed to plug into a M.2 connector. If your laptop has enough room, you could use a M.1-to-M.2 converter and then plug the new AX200 card into this converter. Here is the best converter I have found: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083YW3RM3. It handles the conversion from M.1 to M.2 and also the conversion in antenna connector size (IPEX UFL to MHF4), allowing you to connect your existing antennas to the solution.

I enclose a picture of what my wifi card looks like.

Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200 Module and Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX201 Module seem to be very similar, which card may be relevant to me?

Alas, based upon your picture, there doesn't appear to be enough room for the M.1-to-M.2 adapter. You could try. Worst it would cost is US$20 for the AX200NGW module (here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SH6GV5S) and another US$8 for the adapter (here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083YW3RM3). Looking at the adapter and module, it is going to be tough to fit it in, if it will go at all. You can break off a portion of the adapter to make it smaller, but you can't get around the height difference and module length difference.

P.S. You can't use the AX201 module; it requires processor and chipset support for the CNVIO2 interface, which you do not have..

Please keep in mind that the Intel® Wireless Adapters AX200 and AX201 will need an M.2 2230 socket to at least fit into the motherboard. https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/compare.html?productIds=189347,130293 

The Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6235 (which has been already discontinued), uses a PCIe slot https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/66890/intel-centrino-advanced-n-6235-dual-band.html 

Additionally, you need to check other factors for compatibility, like the motherboard capabilities, BIOS, antennas, etc. 

So as mentioned, only the OEM can tell you if this wireless card will work with their system, remember that they can also help you with the installation process and warranty if needed.
