I have a Dell Vostro 1700 2 years old with an Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG, also I have a MESH WLAN 5.8Ghz running, I can see and measure strength of the AP (2.4Ghz) signal, but I can't see the 5.8Ghz (Ad-Hoc) WLan, while my another laptop a Dell Vostro 1000 with a Dell Minicard DW1349 does see it and tells me the channel, strength and that is a Ad-Hoc type.
Is possible that this 3945ABG can't see 5.8Ghz Wlans?
