My wireless adapter just stoped working and the compatible model was discontinued. As I was looking foward buying a new adapter, I just found out there was no new pieces on the market, only pieces available from dismantled dell notebooks.
Need a new one and compatible with a Sony VAIO VPCSC1AFM, bought in 2011 in the US.

We can't help you with this issue. The product is discontinued - which means that it is not being manufactured - and Intel does not maintain an inventory. If you don't see any available as "new" in the marketplace, there simply may not be any. You will need to do is talk to Sony and find out if there are any other wireless adapters that their Laptop BIOS will support. If there aren't, you will just have to go with a reclaimed adapter.
