Hello ivan_greek,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In order to better assist you, please provide the following:

1. The brand and model number of your system. You can also provide the Intel® System Support Utility for the Linux* Operating System for more details: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18895/26735/intel-system-support-utility-for-the-linux-operating-system.html

2. Is this the original adapter that came pre-installed on your computer or did you change/install the adapter to this one?

3. Is this a laptop or desktop computer?

4. When did the issue start?

5. Which was the old wireless card?

Hello ivan_greek,

In order to help you further, run the following commands on the latest Ubuntu version and attach the results.

1. Run the following commands and send us the outcome:

· modinfo iwlwifi > If there is no output, then the module isn’t installed this is the distribution installation issue.

· lsmod | grep iwlwifi > If the result is empty, the driver hasn't been loaded. Most likely to be a distribution issue.

· To verify, please type: dmesg | grep iwlwifi > If the result is empty, the driver wasn’t initialized and this is a distribution issue. If there is a result populated, proceed with the next step.

· dmesg | grep “no suitable firmware found!” > If the result is not empty, it means you don't have a suitable FW (api mentioned in the dmesg).

· Please visit here: https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers/iwlwifi for supported FW, or here https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/ for the latest versions.

2. If the above steps don't work, collect the debug data:

Type: dmesg | grep ASSERT

If the output is empty, please follow this wiki: https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers/iwlwifi/debugging to extract dmesg and trace-cmd.

If the output has value, please collect it from the wiki FW dump too.

Hello ivan_greek,

In order to help you further, please try the following:

1. Try x1, x4, or x8 slot instead (if available)

2. Try to disable secure boot in BIOS

If AX200 still doesn't work, this may be an interoperability issue with this HPE system, the riser, or the M.2 to PCIe convector. If that is the case, I recommend you check further with the system manufacturer.

there is not any  others pci-express slot

2. Try to disable secure boot in BIOS

secure boot is already disabled

I have already opened a report but they have not answered yet, if it was a problem of the hpe server firmware changing wireless card would not change anything? thx

Hello ivan_greek,

Thanks for the information provided. In this case, the best action to take would be to confirm with the motherboard manufacturer to confirm which wireless adapters are compatible with their board. However, we cannot confirm that it will fix the issue.
