Hallo,

i have a fujitsu lifebook with the wlan-card intel 3945abg

Under Windows 8 the card is recognized automatically (driver netwlv32.sys 13.3.0.137) and everything works fine.

Under Windows 8.1 (clean new install) the card is recognized automatically but dosnt work (error code 12 not enough ressources)

Querstion:

Is this a Microsoft problem? or an Intel problem? Will there be a driver to get this card to work.

You get a Microsoft* inbox driver for Windows* 8; however, this is not confirmed in Windows* 8.1 but you may contact Microsoft* in this regard. Intel® only supports this wireless adapter in Windows* 7 and older operating systems. Please read the articles below.

I had the same issue on my old Laptop HP 9xxxx.

Strange enaugh, the problem appeared only after one month I installed Windows 8.1 from scratch.

I noticed the issue disappearing when not using the wireless, although the driver was still loaded.

I tried to install the latest Windows 8.1 driver from here: http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wtech/proset-ws/sb/CS-034038.htm http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wtech/proset-ws/sb/CS-034038.htm but the device manager keep showing the "old" Microsoft one.

Eventually I installed the Windows 7 64 bit one (14.3.1): http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=21049 http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=21049

Now device manager shows the new version. So far so good, the problem seems gone.

I hope this helps.
