I have a intel wifi 6E AX211 network adaptor with the latest driver (23.90.0.2), and have it running on the 5G band that is working well for most devices, but I have a device (a weather station) that cannot use the 5G band, so I hope to configure the adaptor to run as 2.4G/5G dual band so that each band has its own SSID name; the alternative seems to be running with 2.4G as the preferred band. Can someone advise me on whether it is possible to set it up with two bands? Thanks. I will use a Dell laptop PC for changing properties.

Hello Ricofish,
Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.
It sounds like you're trying to configure your Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 network adapter to operate on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands simultaneously, each with its own SSID. Unfortunately, most network adapters, including the Intel AX211, are typically designed to connect to one band at a time rather than broadcasting separate SSIDs for each band. This functionality is usually managed by the router rather than the network adapter itself.
However, you can configure your router to broadcast both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands with different SSIDs, allowing devices to connect to the appropriate band based on their capabilities. You would then connect your laptop to the desired band through the network settings.
If your router supports dual-band operation, you can access its settings via a web interface (usually by entering the router's IP address in a browser) and configure the SSIDs for each band there.
If you need further assistance with setting up your router or have any other questions, feel free to ask. Good luck with your configuration!
Best regards,
JeanetteC.

Hello Ricofish,
I haven't received any response from you recently. I hope you you got the chance to try the initial recommendations I shared.
If you need further assistance with setting up your router or system device, I highly recommend contacting either your Internet Service Provider ISP) or your system manufacturer support team directly.
I will go ahead and close this thread. If you require help in the future, please submit a new inquiry, as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Sincerely,
JeanetteC.
