Hello photogenie,
Thanks for your response. Based on your issue, I recommend you try the following:
1. Check the recommended settings for your adapter:
2. Check the "Quick Checks to Improve or Fix Wi-Fi Connection Issues" article:
3. You mentioned that the latest update caused this issue, but as a test, try a clean install of the Intel drivers:
- Steps: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000022173.html
- Driver: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19351/windows-10-and-windows-11-wi-fi-drivers-for-intel-wireless-adapters.html
4. Try to check with your laptop manufacturer to confirm if you have the latest BIOS version:

Hello photogenie,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I want to understand what happened just as much as you do.
To have a better of this issue, I would like to confirm the following:
1. Is this the original wireless adapter that came pre-installed on your computer or did you change/install the adapter to this computer?
2. Is the Bluetooth working?
3. Is this a laptop or desktop computer?
4. What is the brand and model name of your router/AP?
5. What is the operating system installed as well as the version and build?
6. What is the brand and model name of your wireless adapter?
Best regards,
Deivid A.
