use windows to manage wifi

My company wants to switch from using Proset Wireless utilty to "use windows to manage wifi" and when i do this on a Dell D430 with an intel 3945abg it is not

working as it should. It will see the network and attempt to connect and most often will not connect. Sometimes it does connect but picks up a 169.xxx.xxx.xxx

ip address and not our network IP addresses. If I switch back to ProSet Utility it will connect with no problem.

I have uninstalled the Proset Utility completey with the same results. Reinstall the proset utility and will works just fine.....

Anyone have any ideas..
