wifi intel® wi-fi 6 ax200 not working 2.4

I have problems with the wifi connection, 2.4 networks detects them, but does not connect them, in 5g networks without problems, someone will know if there is any solution since I occupy it in the university and there is no 5g connection.

In order to better assist you, please provide the following:  


1. Is this the original adapter that came pre-installed on your computer or did you change/install the adapter to this one?   

2. Is the Bluetooth working?   

3. Is this a laptop or desktop computer? 

4. What is the brand and model name of your laptop or motherboard (if desktop)?

5. Do you see any errors in the device manager?

6. What is the operating system installed as well as the version and build?

Ya hice todo lo que he visto en la web, hasta que reinstale Windows y sigue sin darme el servicio de las redes 2.4

Thanks for the confirmation. Based on your issue I recommend you try the following:


1. Try the "Recommended Settings for 802.11ax Connectivity"

2. Try the latest drivers from HP:

3. If the HP driver did not work, try a clean install of the Intel drivers:

4. Change the Preferred band of the wireless adapter from 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz:

Hello Damte, 



I can imagine how frustrating this is for you, especially after trying all these steps. At this point, I recommend you check this behavior with HP since this could be related to the laptop. 


Hp will run some tests on their device to confirm if this issue is being caused by the hardware or the software part. If the problem is the wireless card, Hp is the only one that can provide you with a replacement since this card was installed by them and maybe soldered down to the motherboard.
