I have the 2022 Intel OneAPI Basekit installed as well as the HPC toolkit. Trying to update the 2022 install or install new 2024.2 version fails, see attached log. I'll appreciate some assistance.

Hi Steph, Could you please share the below details with us?
- Version of Microsoft Visual Studio installed along with it's build version.
- Other versions of Intel® Parallel Studio XE or Intel® oneAPI already installed on the system.
- Is the installer an online or an offline package?
- Complete Installation Log files.
- The default path for a log file for a oneAPI installation is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\oneAPI\logs
- Screenshot of the error screen.
To assist you further, we would require these details.

MSVS 2022 17.0.5 is the MS VS version
No other Intel Parallel Studio or OneAPI installed, old installed was uninstalled to see if fresh install would work.
Offline package was used w_BaseKit_p_2024.2.0.635_offline.exe
The logfile is reported to be located at the position as per screenshot, I have included that whole folder.
Screenshot shown below.
Please note that I have removed the total OneAPI folder and retried the installation with the same results

Thanks, I am in the process of following instructions. Is there a specific version of the HPC Toolkit that I must install as I see that you do not recommend the latest version of the Basekit?

Hi Steph, The Version: 2024.2.1 is the latest version for both Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit and Intel® HPC Toolkit.
Note: While installing Intel® HPC Toolkit, Download Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit as this component is part of the Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit. We recommend that you download the full toolkit initially, and then update specific components.

Hi Vipin
Thank you very much for the support.
Some feedback for future reference, the VS 2019 was not really successful as even with registering the dll the OneAPI never showed up in VS. Now with VS 2022 the install worked so it is successful, I'll now add the HPC Toolkit (I need Fortran).
As far as opening my projects with VS unfortunately still no luck, the message is something like ".vproj cannot be upgraded as version with which it was created is not present". It is easy enough to recreate the solution/project from existing source so I am not going to waste any more time on this issue.
Kindly many thanks again.
