Installation problem with Vtune

Hi

I am trying to install VTune 8.0.3 on Fedora Core 4 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4. I get the following error:

ERROR: Can't obtain the uid or gid for vtunesag.
Installation failed.

I am logged in as root and I am the only user on this machine. Can someone please help? I have tried rebooting the machine also. It doesn't help.

Hi,

Seems that install failed to create the `vtunesag` group and `vtunesag` user required for dcom interface functioning.

You can workaround the issue by manual creating the group/user and re-run install. Issue below commands under root:

$ groupadd -g 28888 vtunesag

$ useradd -u 28888 -g vtunesag -r -s /bin/false -d /sbin vtunesag
