VTune 2022. 2 cannot be used in vs2019 and vs2022

OneAPI has been integrated into vs2022 17.1.2, vs2019 16.11.2 and vs2019 16.11.11, but VTune cannot be used in vs. after clicking run, it will always be displayed in loading. You want to directly use the graphical interface of VTune, but there is a flash back phenomenon. You can't open the graphical interface of VTune. As required, install vs first and then install OneAPI . After uninstalling vs, reinstall vs and repair oneapi, but still unable to use VTune.

Hi,

Good day to you.

Thanks for posting in Intel Communities.

We tried replicating your issue from our side on the following machines configured and running the latest VTune 2022.2 versions and it loads fine with the matrix multiplication sample:

Windows 10 Pro, Visual Studio 2022 17.1.2: (Refer screenshot: VS 2022 (ver. 17.1.2) - Windows 10 Pro.PNG)

Windows 10 Pro, Visual Studio 2019 16.11.11: (Refer screenshot: VS 2019 (ver. 16.11.11) - Windows 10 Pro.PNG)

Windows 11 Pro, Visual Studio 2022 17.1.2: (Refer screenshot: VS 2022 (ver. 17.1.2) - Windows 11 Pro.PNG)

Windows 11 Pro, Visual Studio 2019 16.11.11: (Refer screenshot: VS 2019 (ver. 16.11.11) - Windows 11 Pro.PNG)

To check if the error is due to some issues, can you try de-integrating and re-integrating the Visual Studio IDE integrations using the following steps:

1. Go to the location where Intel oneAPI is installed (typically at C:\Program Files (x86)\intel\oneAPI\Installer\)

2. Inside this directory, try running the installer.exe file that launches the oneAPI Install Manager.

3. In the oneAPI Install Manager, click on the Modify button in the Intel oneAPI Base Toolkit part and select Add/Remove components

4. Click the next button to move to the Integrate IDE section, untick the relevant IDEs (VS 2022, VS 2019, etc.) and click Next to let the installer complete removal of all IDE integrations.

6. Once the process is complete, quit the installer.

5. Now do the same procedure by running the installer.exe again to re-enable the IDE integration by ticking the relevant IDEs in the Integrate IDE section of the installer.

6. Check if this has resolved your issue.

Refer attached screenshot (Solution.PNG) for help with the above procedure.

Hope this helps.

If this does not resolve your issue, do get back to us with the following details:

1. Your OS and build version (You can get that by running the winver command in a command prompt window)

2. The processor and the RAM in your system

3. Screenshot of the error

If this resolves your issue, make sure to accept this as a solution as this will help others with a similar issue.

Thanks and Regards,

Jyothis V James
