Vtune: hangs or produces no output and no diagnostic messages

We have two issues with Vtun on Linux:

First we have two execution modes, (1) Informational, (2) full use.

1. Vtune hangs: When using vtune to analyze an informational run. This is simply starting the executable and printing the build information Vtune hangs. We see no diagnostic messages

2.Vtune produces output: When using Vtunein a full use run, no information is produced andnot diagnostic messages.

Please assist.
