splview segfault

I am running on an altix system (itanium2 monteceto) and trying to profile my simulation with vtune. I use vtl to get a callgraph profile. I then use vtl view with the gui option to view the data. I can view the data down to the hotspot view, itdoes some workand then splview cores. Top shows I still have plenty of memory available. I am wondering if anyone else has had an issue like this and if there is a work around. I would be happy to give more info, but I am not sure what is pertinent.

I am also getting a slew of misalignment errors.

splview(32599): unaligned access to ....

Any help is appreciated

Hello,

This sounds like theVTune team should take care of it. Can you submit a report on Premier? What they would need to reproduce the issue is:

  • your project (exported with pack&go)
  • the binary of your application
  • the source file that you drill down to
