when calibration is needed ?
I rarely use this option and not sure if it is really impact the measurement result.
i.e. think about these:
A.a heavily load computation
or
B.a mix program,pipeline,include IO(packet input),processor(packet analyser),output(IO,socket,disk..etc)
I rarely use this option and not sure if it is really impact the measurement result.

The calibration is needed to make sure that about 1000 events per second are being collected, to set up right SAV for each event. Since the different events occur with different frequencies, the optimal SAV are different for the events for particular applications. The VTune default values are quite close to the optimal from the experience, but you may want to calibrate with your own application and then set the right SAV manually with calibration switched off.
