Thermal properties of N2600

Hi,

I have to run a thermal simulation of a system that has an Atom N2600 processor and I am looking for some thermal data of this chip such as thermal resistance junction to case, junction to board or some guidelines from intel how to cool this chip. I couldn't find anything in the datasheet and I don't have access to privileged documents (there is a document there "Atom N2000 serie: Thermal design guidelines"). Could anybody provide these thermal guidelines or at least the thermal resistances?

Thank you.

Hello danpop,

There are several document available that touch upon this topic, but I am not seeing a document with that specific title. Do you have a document number? There are several documents that are public that contain thermal information for Intel® Atom™ processors, so you may want to try searching our site again using those keywords. You might find that a public-facing document will contain the details you need.

Otherwise, please advise us of the title or document number, and we can provide excerpts from that document.

Best Regards,

Casey H.

Hi, Daniel. It looks like your company has a CNDA with Intel. Please go to https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/intelligent-systems/embedded-design-center-contact-us.html Intel® Embedded Design Center Contact and Support and click on "Manage my Intel Profile" where you should be able to request and 'upgrade to Privileged account'. With a Privileged EDC account, you can access content that is classified as Intel Confidential. Once established return to http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/intelligent-systems/cedar-trail/embedded-intel-atom-n2000-and-d2000-series-software-and-tools.html Embedded Intel® Atom™ Processor N2000/D2000, NM10 Express Chipset, scroll down the page to the "Additional Resources" section and there you will find a category called, "Thermal and Mechanical Design Guides". There are several documents there that are Intel confidential.
