One APIC IRQ to interrupt multiple CPU Cores

Hello,

Is there a way to utilize one APIC IRQ (X2APIC) to interrupt multiple CPU Cores ?

We are using Xeon D series CPUs, and we would like to initialize one X2APIC to produce interrupt to multiple CPU Cores so we can do some synchronous operations.

If this is not possible than we need to make two separate APIC Interrupts, but if we make them at same IRQ rate can we assume that they will be synchronous to each other or there can be drift in Interrupt frequency ?

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Nikola
