Hello @Pkaur,

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

Just to let you know, Coffee Lake is not being actively supported anymore at this moment, there is a document regarding this in RDC:

#812126 - End of Interactive Support for Coffee Lake

Regarding your question, the Tjmax temperature for most Coffee Lake processors are 100° C, this can be verified in the EDS document #570805, in Table 5-4. Junction Temperature Specifications(CFL S/H/U-Processor Line).

The temperature Range mentioned in the table is from 0° C to 100° C.

I think you may experience throttling around 90-95° C.

Best regards,

Hello @Diego_INTEL

Thank you for the update on Active support on coffee lake Processor.

I'm not able to download the Document 812126. Getting below error. We have NDA signed with intel as well. Could you help something about it or share that document.

Hello @Pkaur,

No, please ignore that, I was confused, I have consulted regarding that document, Coffee Lake is still being supported normally. It is expected to be supported until June 30, 2025. My apologies for the wrong information.

I hope the information that you needed was enough.

Hello

Thank you for update on support.

I understand operating temperature of Part is  0° C to 100° C. But when I see VPX based Board from other vendors they are giving Level 5 ruggedness i.e -40 to 85 Deg. How they are doing. Do you have any idea?

Gentle Reminder for the same.

Hello @Pkaur,

They probably are using some encapsulating, you may try to look for a third-party place that can perform the ruggedization.

If you need more temperature room for your application, it may be possible to use another processor, maybe you can look for a Raptor Lake processor, I think some of them have a working temperature between -40° C to 105° C if I remember correctly.

Best regards,
