This IC SERIAL COM CAN 82527 controller is made from 1995.

Although we were unable to locate any official documentation or an Intel datasheet stating that this product was EOL or EOIS, based on its age, it should have been EOL'd.

You may find the relevant datasheet on any external 3rd party website, such as following from alldatasheet:
