We would like to monitor 2 10Gbps signals with single SFP+ optic, is it possible?
We are using R720 Dell servers with Intel NICs.
Thanks in advance,
Igal.

Dear Intel support,
Thank you for your answer,
We are using Intel X520 Adapters : https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/network-adapters/converged-network-adapters/ethernet-x520.html Intel® Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X520 Product Family
and managing them using DPDK.
Regards,
Igal.

Hi Igal,
Thanks for the update. Just to double check if you are referring to if the SFT+optic modules here http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ethernet-products/optics-cables/ethernet-sfp-optics-brief.html Intel® Ethernet SFP+ SR Optics and LR Optics Product Brief
for the X520 series adapter support dual RX instead of TX/RX?
thanks,

Correct, those are the SFP+ optics that we are currently using together with Intel X520 Adapters,
However my question is more general, are there any Intel SFP+ optics and NICs that can be used
to receive 2 RX optical signals in single SFP+?
Thanks in advance,
Igal.

Hi Igal,
Further checking, the SFP+ optics we have for the X520 series network adapter is not capable to support the dual RX you inquired.
Thanks,

Thank you very much for your answer about X520,
Again, my question is more general, are there any Intel SFP+ optics and NICs that can be used
to receive 2 RX optical signals in single SFP+?
Thanks in advance,

Hi IgalM,
Currently, there's no Intel(R) SFP+ optics and NICs supports the configuration of dual RX to single SFP+.
