VMware icen how to enable RoCE v2 in E810-XXV

Hi Folks,

 

How to enable roce_ena in icen driver ? I'm using 

icen 1.6.5.0-1OEM.702.0.0.17630552 INT VMwareCertified 2021-09-23

 

Notice RDMA enabled but no flag to change the protocol from default iWRAP to RoCEv2.

RxITR array of int RX interrupt interval in microseconds, (-1 = Dynamic ITR, 0-8160 usec = Static ITR) (default = Dynamic ITR)
TxITR array of int TX interrupt interval in microseconds, (-1 = Dynamic ITR, 0-8160 usec = Static ITR) (default = Dynamic ITR)

Please see below update from our engineering team.


We noticed that you also submitted an IPS request that was already answered. We are also sharing below answer from your IPS ticket.


For using RDMA, you have to download the irdman driver from the VMware site.

 After loading the RDMA driver(irdman), The NIC will be automatically loaded in ROCEv2 mode.

Please refer to "Driver setup on Host" section in irdman driver release notes for detailed explanation on how switching between ROCEv2 and iWARP happens.
