Hi,

I am sending a IPX packet to XL710 NIC which is accepted by Intel 82599 however the same packet gets discarded by XL710 NIC. The counter increased is rx_unknown_protocol_packets for these packets.

Hello Manish,

Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities. Please provide the following details for us to check on your query.

1.) Kindly share the link where the driver was downloaded.

2.) What is the exact operating system used.

3.) Is the Intel 82599 is in the same system as the XL710?

4.) Please share the PBA and serial number of the adapters You may refer to the link below on where to find the PBA number. You may also provide photos of the adapters focusing on the markings (white sticker) found on the physical card for us to double check on it. The PBA is consist of 6-digit number located at the last part of the serial number.
