Hi, I'm new to Altera and I am trying to use Altera IP's in one of my design. But I'm unable to find out the licensing details of that IP and also not able to use IP evaluation. How do I buy the IP license in Altera?

Go here to get info about IP and links for purchase: https://www.altera.com/products/intellectual-property/ip.html and https://www.altera.com/support/support-resources/download/megacore-ip.html

Most licensed IP supports OpenCore Plus, so you can use the IP without purchasing a license.

Hi sstrell,

Thanks for your reply. I would like to know more about OpenCore Plus. Is it free or licensed? If licensed how do I purchase OpenCore Plus?

OpenCore Plus is a built-in feature of most Altera (Intel) IP that let's you experiment with the IP before purchasing a license:

https://www.altera.com/content/dam/altera-www/global/en_us/pdfs/literature/an/an320.pdf

Some 3rd party IP supports it as well

Hi sstrell,

So Open Core Plus is just an evaluation, then how do I purchase the license of IP for full functionality.? And from what ever the link you posted in previous post, I could browse through the IP's. But I could not find details related to licensing in IP page. So Can I purchase IP license through online from Altera website?

If yes can you please share the link for purchasing the license for SDI II IP core for cyclone V?
