I saw Intel Arria FPGA IP provide EMIF with these options

I have two questions

1. Is the Hard PHY 100% DFI compliant?

2. Can we integrate Intel Hard PHY DDR3 with third-party soft Memory controller?

Hi Hai Anh,

I think it's Altera PHY Interface(AFI).

Thanks,

Adzim

Hi Hai Anh,

Thanks for using Intel Community.

  1. Is the Hard PHY 100% DFI compliant?
    1. Intel Arria 10 devices do not support DFI.
  2. Can we integrate Intel Hard PHY DDR3 with third-party soft Memory controller?
    1. Yes, I think the configuration is PHY-Only Mode.
    2. You can create your own custom controller to integrate into the design.

Adzim

Thank you Adzim,

But if PHY to MC interface is not DFI compliant, then how we know to integrate between MC and PHY?
