Hi,
I am currently using the EP4EC30 FPGA in the BGA780 package.
I am think to upgrade in the future to the EP4EC40 version.
I checked and found out that those devices are pin compatible (BGA780 pins package).
Is there anything important to know / do before doing such a change?
Are those devices compatible (pin / code / anything else?).
Thanks.

Hi Oshal2,
Thank you for contacting Intel Community. When the migration feature is enabled in your design, you should always follow the common pin placement as stated in the Quartus Prime software Pin Migration Window in the Pin Planner. During migration, these NC pins may be connected to power, ground, or a signal trace depending on the common pin migration assignment of the devices selected for migration.
Thank you
Regards,
Chia Ling
