quartus 11.1sp2 and ALTMEMPHY

for a research project, i have the need to instantiate an ALTMEMPHY + controller in a Qsys project. 

 however, Qsys 11.1sp2 tells me that the IP has been depreciated in favor of Uniphy, and will not allow me to add the altmemphy to the project.  is there a way around this? i'm not expecting support nor am i planning on shipping the altmemphy-based design to anyone.  thanks for any pointers.

What FPGA and memory chip are You targeting?

whoops, sorry. i am using the stratix iv e development board. using the dimm that came with the board, i think it's a micron dimm.
