Arria 10 Resetting with core temp at ~70Deg C.

Using Arria 10 (10AX027H3F34E2SG). This works fine (for hours) till the die temperature is below 70 Deg C, and resets above 70 Deg C. As per the data sheet this probably should happen at a higher temp i.e. 100 Deg C. Temperature is monitored via TSD connected to an external i2c temp sensor.

Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated. Thx.

Hi Ajay Sharma,

Thank you for reaching out to Intel FPGA Community.

Since you are using external temperature sensor, Intel recommends taking temperature readings during periods of inactivity in the device. Otherwise, you can try to use the internal TSD with built-in ADC circuitry and observe the die temperature. For more details. you can refer here External Temperature Sensing Diode.

Hope this information helps.
