Cyclone 5 GX Starter Kit SMA Impedance

Hey all,

I recently purchased the Cyclone 5 GX Starter Kit. I want to use the SMA transceiver ports to both output and receive that through an optical link. I also plan on using the transceiver toolkit to analyze the bit rate and BER. Could anybody tell me what the impedance of these ports are? Or how I can go about finding out what the impedance is looking into the SMA pins? I'm fairly new to hardware so I appreciate any help!

Thanks

By the way, why do you need the impedance value? If you are using XCVR toolkit, it will help to find the optimal analog settings according to your setup.

The impedance should be 100 Ohm differential.

I think most of the SMA cables are of 50 Ohm termination. This is why the SMA connector on devkit are of 100 Ohm differential.
