How can I use a USB keyboard with the DE1-SoC?

PS2 keyboards are becoming rarer and rarer, being replaced with USB keyboards. If I want to interface with my DE1-SoC, how can I do it without buying a PS2 keyboard that is quickly becoming obsolete? I tried using the HPS USB OTG ports, but I have no idea how they work or how to connect them to the fpga fabric, I am still pretty new to this.
