Hi,

I am using the Stratix 10 SOC Development Kit and when programmer is opened in the Quartus and through auto detect I am not seeing the FPGA

1SX280HU2F50E1VGAS (as mentioned in the datasheet) which is on the board instead am seeing the 1SX280HH1 device, why is it so.

Attached the screen shot for reference.

Regards,

Kiran

Hi Fakhrul,

Thanks for the reply.

This issue is solved, and the solution is,

In the Stratix 10 SX soc development kit, if the 10th dip switch of SW1 is only turned on then was able to program the Stratix 10 SX FPGA, with the desired .sof

Kiran

You can try just assigning your programming file (.sof) to the device shown.  It will get the correct device info from the file.  This shouldn't be an issue.

Hi sstrell,

Thanks for the reply.

What am saying is auto detect shows a different device then the one mentioned in the datasheet, why is that so ?

Kit is stratix 10 soc development kit that is being used.

Kiran

Hi kiransr,

As mentioned by sstrell above, there shouldn't be an issue. This is typically caused by multiple devices with similar JTAG IDs in the JTAG chain, somehow it may leading the software to incorrectly identify the target device. This often occurs when using a development board with multiple FPGAs or other devices sharing the same JTAG interface. The software may need additional information to correctly distinguish between them.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Fakhrul
