Bios settings -secure boot- for installing batocera or linux mint

Hello, 

i am facing severe problems installing linux mint or batocera -gaming linux distribution- on a nuc 12 extreme ed. . The system won´t boot up and it freezes. 

The only linux distribution i was able to install was ubuntu its newest version. I think it has to do with secure boot and the trusted platform settings in the bios menu. 

Any help is appreciated.
