Hi ItzYoshino,

Thank you for posting in our Community and providing the details regarding your ThinkPad T14 with the Intel Iris Xe GPU. I appreciate the information you’ve shared, as it really helps us understand the situation. I see that you’re encountering the following error when trying to run Battlefield RedSec: “DirectX function 'GetDeviceRemovedReason' failed with DXGI_ERROR_DRIVER_INTERNAL_ERROR…”

It’s great that you’ve already tried switching to DirectX 11 and Vulkan, as this helps us rule out some potential causes. To assist you further and identify the root of the issue, could you please provide a bit more information:

  • Are you running the game on the internal display or an external monitor?
  • Does this error occur immediately on launching the game, or after a certain amount of time or gameplay?
  • Are there any other games that show similar behavior with the Iris Xe, or is this specific to Battlefield RedSec?
  • Were there any recent hardware or software changes made before the issue occurred?

Additionally, I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the OS version, precise driver versions, and any system errors. Utilizing the Intel SSU tool will enable me to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue.

Have a nice day!

Hello ItzYoshino,

Thank you for providing those details and for sharing the troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried.  Based on our assessment, it appears that the game in question falls outside the official system requirements set by the developer. In this case, it would be best to reach out directly to the game developer for clarification on whether they plan to add support for your integrated GPU (Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics) in future updates. For your reference, you can review the official system requirements for Battlefield™ REDSEC here: Battlefield™ REDSEC System Requirements

Your system and integrated GPU are capable of running many modern titles, but certain games, particularly those that rely heavily on high-end discrete GPUs, may currently have limited support.

In the meantime, I will close this inquiry now. If you need further assistance, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.

@Arnaud6d , I empathize with your situation and the issue you are facing. However, I kindly request that you create a new thread for your case. This will allow us to focus on your specific problem and provide you with better assistance.
