Killer Performance Suite

I have a Dell G16 7620 Laptop computer, with Intel WI-FI 6 AX201 160 hz and Killer E2600 Gigabit Ethernet Controller. Killer Performance Suite 40.25.509.0 and current drivers.

The Killer Performance Suite software only works when connected by Ethernet cable and NOT when on my WIFI (says no Killer Adapter Connected).

Why ? What am I doing wrong ?

Hello Timmr,

Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.

For me to assist you properly, kindly share the information below.

1. Were you able to have the Killer Performance Suite software work with the Wi-Fi before?

2. Is this the original adapter that came pre-installed in your system, or have you changed/installed a new adapter recently?

3. Have you tried to utilize OEM drivers?

4. Is the Killer Wi-Fi adapter visible on Device Manager?

Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

I look forward to your response.

Best regards

Thanks for your response. As per your question:

1) Not that I can recall - work with wifi before

2) Have not changed adapters

3) I use authorized intel & dell assist software to identify and install all driver updates

4) No Killer WIFI Adapter not visible on device manager - only Killer Ethernet Controller and Intel Wifi adapter

The Killer Suite only detects the Killer E2600 (Ethernet), not the Intel Wi-Fi. That’s why it works on cable but not on Wi-Fi.

Apparently the laptop came with a Killer Ethernet Adapter, but with 2 options for Wifi adapter - a Killer or Intel Wifi adapter.

I have the Intel Wifi adapter, so the killer software will only work when on ethernet (only 10% of the time). Too bad Intel made the software work that way. Thus, I have deleted the Killer Performance Suite software as essentially Intel Bloatware
