101.3413 / pale colors

Hello,

I have Windows 11 on an MSI 12UGS GE76 laptop.

On 10/22 Windows update installed "Intel Corporation - Display - 31.0.101.3413" for Iris Xe GPU.

Since then, my screen has very pale colors. I tried recalibrating the screen: nothing worked. I plugged in an external monitor, the colors are good on it. Finally, in Device Manager, I uninstalled the card, the colors are back to normal! (I have a 2nd Nvidia card) So I reinstalled Iris Xe with the recent drivers found on the Intel site of the generation before (31.0.101.2111) but again ended up with pale colors again or is it a strong gamma?

I do not know what to do ? Can you help me ?

Thanks,

Hello Alberto R.,

Thank you for your answer.

I'm not sure you'll find the information you need.

Indeed, I reinstalled the original driver (30.0.101.1029) which allowed me to recover a normal screen.

Cordially,

Crosne, Thank you very much for providing the SSU report.

According to the information shown in the SSU document, the graphics driver version currently installed in your computer is 30.0.101.1029, provided by MSI:

https://www.msi.com/Laptop/Raider-GE76-12UX/support?sub_product=Raider-GE76-12UGS#driver

It is important to mention that we always recommend to install the graphics driver provided by the manufacturer of the computer, since that driver was customized by them to work with your specific platform.

Based on the fact that the problem persists after installing driver version 30.0.101.1029 and 31.0.101.2111, even though the Intel® graphics drivers are generic, for testing purposes, please try a clean installation of the latest Intel® graphics driver version 31.0.101.2114, following the instructions in the links below:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057389/graphics.html

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19344/intel-graphics-windows-dch-drivers.html?

We also suggest to get in contact directly with MSI support to make sure the latest BIOS version is currently installed on your device or to gather the instructions on how to update it:

Once you get the chance, please let us know the results.
