Is good that you add bugs here, but I would recommend to do a test on another pc also with another video card to make sure is not problem from windows 10.

I tested windows 10 also and run into lot of problems, some of them not gpu related. Windows 10 is still work in progress ... Maybe next stable version will be ok.

Ok, after testing every version of Fallout 4, it seems only versions below 1.3 work on Intel HD Graphics.

Not even working versions, don't work how they should. Sometimes game crashes and out on desktop without any error message.

Anything over and including version 1.3 has textures problems.

All problems are because the game is optimized to work with NVidia GeForce latest drivers ...

So Intel igpu drivers must be optimized/modified to work with version >=1.3.

Your symptoms are all correct, but the diagnosis is missing a little bit. There's a handful of crashes I've seen, one from the driver some from the app. I kept kdb running on the app a few times and found at least three different stack traces for the app crashes, so three different bugs. I'm no expert on graphics programming but they looked like graphics memory allocation issues that FO4 isn't handling properly, so it simply exits. I did see one driver crash on the latest beta drivers but I didn't have a kernel debugger hooked up to catch it. Since graphics drivers don't bug check the machine anymore there might be a place I could find the dump for it but I haven't gone looking :-).

This error even if it is created by iexplore.exe is because of the video driver. Everything is explained here by a developer here : https://www.sysnative.com/forums/windows-7-windows-vista/18327-stackhash-appcrash-issue-windows-7-sp1.html [SOLVED] Stackhash APPCRASH issue, Windows 7 SP1

The latest beta fixed a problem but caused a bigger one. I have an MSI GE72 6QD notebook, see link for specs https://www.msi.com/Notebook/GE72-6QD-Apache-Pro.html# hero-overview GE72 6QD Apache Pro | MSI Global | Notebook - The best gaming notebook provider

I want to take my notebook places and play Street Fighter V by connecting the HDMI port to TV's etc. but this is the only game that will not send sound through intel HD display audio. This latest beta did, hooray! BUT it caused a major problem. If my notebook is in sleep mode and I wake the notebook the display will never turn on. It stays off, the pc is working though, I can tell by my keyboard colors. I have to hard shut down by holding power button down for 10 seconds'ish. When it boots up again the display works. ANY time it's in sleep mode this problem happens. Another weird thing to note is while it's in the problem state ( the display is dead) and I connect an hdmi to a device it starts working, also sleep mode will work when connected to an hdmi device. Weird right? I've thoroughly tested this and the latest beta causes this sleep no display problem. It did fix the sound problem for Street Fighter V though. Sound would not work through hdmi on any previous drivers on street fighter v. Please look into this. Thanks.

Try uninstalling the driver restart the system and then reinstall the driver.

If the problem persists I suggest staying with your OEM driver and waiting for a new graphics driver to be released

Thanks Ronin. I will try even there isn't any bug fix for HEVC 10 bit decoding mentioned in the releases note.

Tried the latest beta 4404 and 4k 10bit hevc decoding is still not working properly.

Pretty sure there is no 10bit hevc hardware decoding on any intel HD. Only 8bit hevc.

It was even said that "Kaby Lake" would probably come out with hevc 10bit hw acceleration, so I doubt anything before that has it.

Sure, there is no hw acceleration for 10bit hevc in hd530. I just hope intel can develop a driver that can capable to software decode it properly.

Actually I just saw a 4K 10bit 50 Hz hevc videoclip in latest beta PotPlayer using HW decoder. On the old version of PotPlayer the video was playing bad. So I think is a matter of how well the software you use is optimized to control the encoder/decoder and to transfer the data.

Hi Ronin, can I download the said 4K@50fps 10bit HEVC video clip? Also, how can I set HW decode for PotPlayer? I just tried the 64bit PotPlayer and it really couldn't play the HEVC 10bit video. MPC is much better except the audio cannot be decoded properly.

If you play 4K 10 bit HEVC video in 2K or FHD monitor, it should be fine for most players I tried.

Here it is: http://demo-uhd3d.com/fiche.php?cat=uhd&id=137 Demo Ultra-HD - Jimix : Put Your Hands Up

I think even the encoding is a bit tricky as even that video has 2 desyncs

All you need to do is click on the bar where is S/W and will change to H/W.

If you don't have that option rightclick on the videoclip image on "preferences" / "filtercontrol" / "videodecoder" / "Build-in Codec / DXVA settings" and there you have to set QuickSync.dll where you have that option.

PS:There are more 4k 10bit videos on that page. You just have to look for them.

It seems that on 4404 driver last version of Fallout4 is working.

No it doesn't

On 4404 I get bsod with dxgmms1.sys, so I think now it shows up memory leaks/bugs in driver.

From the release notes I see that Vulkan API is now supported on the 6th Gen of Intel CPU/GPUs. Will such support be added to the 4th gen?

Potplayer cannot decode properly for my system in win10. 4k 10bit HEVC is playing properly without H/W enable though in MPC.

Try use the beta version of Potplayer. The stable one has problems with sync.
