Thanks for joining the community.

I understand you are trying to get Intel quick sync working on your computer.

I will require more details about what steps are you trying to enable quick sync, driver versions, and software.

I will look forward to hear from you.

Allan.

Hello, I first downloaded the latest Intel HD Graphics 4600 driver. I then rebooted my pc to the bios and enabled iGPU multi monitor. After boot back to windows 8 I then installed the driver and followed the steps in this tutorial http://mirillis.com/en/products/tutorials/action-tutorial-intel-quick-sync-setup_for_desktops.html Action! Tutorial - Intel Quick Sync Video on Desktop PC with PCI-E graphics card, I followed until step 10 which is all I needed to do to enable quick sync for livestreaming. Friends of mine have tried the exact same method and it works for them with no cursor clone.

Thanks for the information.

I have been tried to replicate this problem but I was not able to do so. I will escalate this matter to our research department and I need the graphics report generated within graphics control panel.

Please copy-paste or attach the report To access this report, please click on Start >> Control Panel >>Intel GMA driver >> information >> Save To File...

Dear EasyTransfer,

I found the solution. This is what you need to do:

1. Click on detect

2. Select the Intel HD graphics

3. Be sure to click on the UPPER "Try to connect anyway on: VGA"

4. Extend displays

That solved it for me. Hope it helps!

ok... this is what weve have all done for Quick Sync... the issue is after this has bin done we get a mouse cursor in the top left hand corner of our main display and its annoying.

I know, but on my igpu it showed two "Try to connect anyway on: VGA" options so when I chose the lower one it gave me the cursor clone, but when I pressed the upper one, the clone was gone.

Ok. Well I've got the I5 2500k so maybe that's not the problem with the newer processors.

Wait, is that 3rd monitor an actual monitor? In case it isn't, try removing it and then add quicksync again and see if you have 3 multiple display options

Because if you don't remove the first quicksync monitor first I get the same thing as you.

Just wanted to chip in with the same exact issue. I'm using the latest Intel HD Graphics drivers and using QuickSync without the actual 3rd monitor, just for streaming purposes. Hope that a company as esteemed as Intel will sort that out sooner rather than later, although it seems they kinda don't give a damn so far.

Don't ignore streamers guys, they are your best friends and possibly the main group of users making the most out of QuickSync.

Hi everyone,

I just bought an i7-4790k (HD 4600) and ran into tha same problem as you guys.

However I found an "accidental" fix for it.

I disabled my Aero on win 7 (ultimate) and the ghost mouse vanished as well.

if you don't know how to disable it here is a quick link on how to: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-aero-on-windows-vista/ Disable Aero on Windows 7 or Vista (or Windows 8.x, Sorta)

I found this because I use quick sync with OBS, which has an in-build option to disable it.

Anyway, give it a try. Good luck!

Hello@all,

I have the same problem for over a year now and still dont know how to fix it.

first of all i have 2 pc's with a hashwell cpu. one has a discrete graphics and the other dont.

the one with the discrete graphics has the clone cursor problem, the one with only integrated graphics dont.

my discrete graphics is a amd ati R265. dose anyone with a nvidia discrete graphics have the same problem?

i also tried and installed lucid virtu mvp 2.0 but it also didnt worked.

i also dont recommend to disable the aero option, because windows 7 and higher is getting buggy if i do so.

video playback always ends up with screen tearing.

any other solutions to get rid of the annoying clone cursor?
