Display Driver has stopped responding and has recovered - Page 22

Hi. I know this question has been asked many times, but many are unanswered. I have a Dell Inspiron 1545, Window 7 64 bit. Just yesterday, my laptop kept blacking out, freezes and then unfreeze and this message would pop up saying, "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows XP(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered." It keeps happening around every 15-30 minutes. Sometimes, it totally blacks out. Other times, it unfreeze but the windows are blank. Someone please help me. The display adapter I have is Mobile Intel (R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family." Some people said online to update it and that might fix the problem. I went to the Intel website and updated the lastest one given, but the problem is still here. I've restored my laptop to a certain restore point, but still did not solve the problem. Suggestions and ideas? Thank you a head of time.

Hey. I have the same problem with my display driver. ERROR: Display Driver Stopped responding and has recovered. It's quite concerning considering I just re installed windows 7. Could you please be my Superman and help save me? Thanks you.

I've read through every page of this thread (and many other forums online). I have tried troubleshooting the problem myself to no avail. I seem to get this same error message no matter what I do. I have updated the driver, rolled back the driver, uninstalled, re-installed, updated again. Simply updating the driver isn't working. I have tried every combination of BIOS setting that exists. I have updated the BIOS, firmware, tried connecting monitors with VGA, DVI and HDMI. I have even tried different monitors. I had this issue with both Windows 7 and Windows 8, 32 and 64 bit (although I am not really interested in upgrading everyone to Windows 8 yet so would like to keep this as a Windows 7 issue). Depending on what the computer has open and running for programs, this thing can crash upwards of 8 times per minute. Sometimes it even requires a hard restart. This is my last ditch effort to see if you have any solutions/ideas. The following info isn't based on default settings, it is just the last thing I tried. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
